First Time Home Buyer Classes and Down payment Assistance
The home buying process at times can feel overwhelming and confusing. There are many classes and events throughout the state that can provide you with information on the home buying process. The majority of assistance programs require that you have attended a First-Time Home Buyer Education Classes sponsored by the Minnesota Homeownership Center. Home Stretch is required to qualify for many affordable mortgage loans and down payment assistance programs. Classes are $35 per person attending. Fee covers morning coffee and treats, your professional instructors, course materials, a manual, and a certificate of completion. African Families Development Network is a full service, non-profit homeownership serving Minneapolis/Saint Paul, Minnesota. Our trained staff has worked with immigrant families like yours, helping to create more than 100 home owners. African Families Development Network has services available to assist current and potential homeowners - whatever the situation! Credit issues? Our staff can work with you to get your credit in order and move forward towards buying your home. This class is 8 hours over 1 day and covers important first-time homebuyer topics.
